Sallie was a bright, interesting child, intelligent and happy. The early ending of such a bright, promising life we can’t understand, but we should not let our hearts be troubled. God knows the way. He holds the key. He guides with an unerring hand. Sometimes with tearless eyes we’ll see. Yes, there up there we’ll understand, Sallie’s death has left her home desolated. She was the only child of her loving parents. How they will miss that loving voice and pleasant face that have cheered their home for these seven years. Look above for that beautiful beckoning hands that are calling unto you to meet her up there. Grieve not fond parents for the absent one, The Lord has lovingly called her home To be happy forever more. Remember that to you she was only given, To nurture and train for him. And now he has taken her back to heaven Where she’ll know no sorrow or sin, Good bye little Sallie, it won’t be long, Before we shall cross death’s river Oh, may we join you in that ransomed throng and sing God’s praise forever.
