I, David Caldwell of Mt. Pleasant Twp., Washington Co, State of PA, being of sound mind and memory bless be God for it do make ordain and publish this my last will and testament in manner the following first it is my will that after my decease my body be buried in a Christen and decent like manner. That my just debts and funeral expense be paid first, that I will and bequest to my beloved wife Nancy Caldwell one cow of her choice to be kept on the farm free of charge, all household and kitchen furniture, the use of the house we now occupy and fuel for the same and so have a decent living off the farm or one third of the profits during her natural life or widowhood amen. I will and bequeath to me daughter Sara Ann McBride one hundred fifty dollars to be paid by my son William one year after the decease of my widow. I will to my daughter Isabel McFarland one hundred fifty dollars to be paid two years after my widow decease by my son William. I will and bequeath to my son William all my farm with the improvements not other wise disposed off, containing 37 acres more or less adjoining land of Robert Clark and John Moore heirs and others after keeping his mother and paying his sisters the above sums. To be his and his heirs also my tools. Lastly I do nominate and appoint James Hughes of Mt. Pleasant Twp. as executor of this my last will and testament.
