HUNTINGDON MONITOR FRIDAY AUGUST 7, 1931 John Robert Edwards of 1118 Warm Springs Avenue died at his home Monday afternoon August 3, 1931 after a prolonged illness. Aged 60 years 1 month and 23 days. Born in Hopewell Township he was Married to Katie Whitestine of Petersburg in 1898. For the past 11 years the Edwards family have been residents of Huntingdon. He was employed by the J.C. Blair company. A member of the Abbey Reformed Church and the P.O.S. of A. camp of Alexandria. He is survived by his wife and the following children: Margaret, wife of James W. Hartman of Huntingdon, Mrs. A.M. Hamilton of Smithfield Mrs. Paul H. Peightal of Huntingdon and Ernest Edwards also of Huntingdon. The funeral will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. from the home. Interrment at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Petersburg, the Revs' H.D. McKeehan and A.C. VanSaun will preside.
