She was born February 24, 1926 and grew up in Wagoner, OK. In high school, she met Eric Roy Hawkins Jr., and the two were married on September 6, 1943. She was a devoted wife, mother and Mamaw. She was preceded in death by her father, Dave Hefner; her mother Lola McKamey; her son, Hal Russell Hawkins; and her husband of 58 years, Roy. She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Barbara and Steve Buchanan and Sandy and J.R. Wythe; her grandchildren, Marcia and Jerry Shottenkirk, Stephanie and Steve Brooks, Chris and April Jackson, Randy Wythe and Sarah Hawkins; and her great grandchildren, Kaylyn and Kaleb Brooks, Molly Shottenkirk and Hope and Ashley Wilson. She taught us how to love and be loved. We will always remember her wit and her charm, her stories and her faith. A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Monday, December 23, at the chapel at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Norman, OK.
