He was born May 5, 1914, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He came to California as a young man, where he met his bride, Betty Ann Austin. They were married for 67 wonderful years. They were residents of Big Bear for 24 years, and currently resided in Apple Valley (CA) for the last 5 years. Clarence proudly served his country during World War II in the Navy. He was an avid golfer. He is survived by his loving wife Betty Ann Austin; a daughter Sharon Ann Chavira; 2 granddaughters, Laurie Ann Duran, and Sarah Jean Bergstrom; 3 great-granchildren, Marissa Lauren Duran, Matthew Joseph Duran and Joseph Austin Duran. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 11, 2004 at 10:00 A.m. at Dudley Apple Valley Mortuary Chapel, 16095 Tuscola Road, Apple Valley. Private Interment will be at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA. Big Bear Mortuary, Directors.
