Davis native Thelma Nadine McVeety, 100, of Denton died at home Feb. 11, 
2005.  Private services will be held at Green Hill Cemetery in Davis at a 
later date.

Mrs. McVeety was born Oct. 25, 1904, in Davis to Daniel Alexander and Floy 
(Sullivan) Willis.  In November of 1927 she married James Blaine McVeety 
in Davis, and he died Dec. 27, 1998.  She was a member of the Christian 
Church, Rose Garden Club and was a former Worthy Matron of Eastern Star in 
Davis.  She enjoyed gardening and feeding wild birds.

Mrs. McVeety was survived by  her daughter, three grand- children and 
eight grand children.  Arrangements are under the direction of Goen-
Hudgens Funeral Home.
