Thomas William Hall Rev. Thomas William Hall passed away Friday, October 21, 2003, in Oceano, CA. He was born in Nida, OK on March 21, 1912. "Brother Hall" was well known in the Bakersfield community as the Pastor of the Pentecostal Church of God at 36th and L Street from 1954-1961. Brother Hall's influence was significant in the lives of many ministers, members of his congregations and other residents of the community. He had an active ministry for more than 60 years, beginning in rural Texas shortly after his marriage to Thelma Louise Albight Hall. He pastored churches in California beginning in Earlimart in 1938, Campbell from 1940-1941, McFarland 1941-1953, Bakersfield 1954-1961, El Cajon 1961-1978, and Buena Park from 1978- 1992, where he retired at the age of 80. Rev. Hall was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Thelma Louise Hall and grandson, Joshua Hall. Rev. Hall is survived by sons, Donald R. Hall of Morro Bay, CA and Wonnie Eugene Hall of Las Vegas, NV. His grandchildren include Terri, Scot, Gary, Bob, Jon, Chris, Rebecca, Elizabeth and Andrew and 17 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Hospice Partners of Central Coast, 277 South Street, Suite R., San Luis Obispo, CA 93401. Graveside services will be held at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Bakersfield at 11 a.m. on Wed., Nov. 5 with memorial services following at 1 p.m. at the Rosedale Pentecostal Church (10011 Rosedale Hwy., Bakersfield).
