Edward Edwin Nall, born 15 May 1873 in West MS., married Frances
Josephine Sevier, born 6 April 1876 in Elmo TX. They married 15 August
1895 in Gainesville TX. They moved to Waurika OK in 1906, with their 5
children: Edward Francis, Lillye May, Thomas Powell, Josephine
Cornelia, and Henry Bennett. In Waurika, on 7 July 1910, their sixth
child, Edna Edwina, was born. Mr. Nall was co-owner of the Nall-Stuard
Hotel, a landmark in its time. In 1915, while coming into Waurika from
northwest of town, Joe Mitchell, an oil man headquartering at the
hotel, Mr. Nall, and O. P. Gant's boy sustained slight injuries when
the car, driven by Mitchell, turned turtle (according to the Waurika
News-Democrat). The accident occured as they were turning the corner
north of Cow Creek bridge and was blamed on a little too much speed
(20 miles an hour!). After his death on 21 March 1915, Mrs. Nall ran
the hotel. Later she sold the hotel, and bought and managed a 4 unit
apartment building on East D until her death on 3 January 1963.
