Officiating was Harrall Helf of the Northside Church of Christ. Burial was in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Sevier Funeral Home. Mrs. Akins was born 19-Feb-1900 in Moorehead, Kansas to William W. and Clerinda Cocheran. She married Lee A. Akins on 16-Mar-1919 in Cement, Caddo county, Ok. She was a member of the Northside Church of Christ. Preceding her in death by her husband in 1974; one grandson, Donald Ray Smith; her parents; three sisters, Nora White, Corda Payne and Efie Hamrick; and by two brothers, Allie Cocheran and Hollie Cocheran. Survivors include five sons, seven daughters, one sister, one brother, 29 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
