GERMER BILLINGS - A graveside service for John W. Germer, 86, will be 10 a.m. today in Billings Union Cemetery. Rent Reubell will officiate. Arrangements are by Sisson Funeral Home. He was born Dec. 12, 1915, in Detroit Lakes, Minn., to William and Pearl Sneath Germer and died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, in Blackwell. He was a member of Perry Elks Lodge No. 2629. He served as exalted ruler of Elks Lodge of Lakewood, Calif. Surviving are two granddaughters, Kelli Vincent of Billings and Kymm Hollenbaugh of Washington State; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and one daughter. FRED UNRUH The funeral for Fred Unruh, 88, will be 10 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Central Christian Church. The Rev. Kevin Arensman will officiate. Burial will be in Karoma Cemetery. Arrangements are by Henninger-Allen Funeral Home. He was born May 1, 1913, near Minco to Henry D. and Elizabeth Jantz Unruh and died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, at Golden Oaks Nursing Home. The family moved near Lahoma in January 1918. He attended grade school at Pleasant View and graduated from Enid High School. He and his brothers farmed and sang as a trio on a local radio station for several years. He had worked for Beech Aircraft in Wichita, Kan., before joining the Army Air Force. He was discharged in 1946, then returned to farming. He married Ruth Sawyer on Dec. 22, 1951. He was a Garfield County Commissioner from 1969 to 1975, and was a member of Central Christian Church, Barber Shop Quartet, Northwest Field Club, Rotary and Enid Art Association. Surviving are four nieces. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1999 and six brothers. ELWOOD LaMUNYON WOODWARD - The funeral for Elwood Amos LaMunyon, 93, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Billings Funeral Home Chapel. Jim Rucker and John Knox will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. He was born Oct. 31, 1908, in a sod house near Buffalo to W.O. "Bill" and Stella Mae Hickman LaMunyon and died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, in Mooreland Heritage Manor. On Dec. 16, 1931, he married Alice Lucille Ott at El Reno. They lived in Enid. In 1942, they moved to a farm in Major County, then to Woodward in 1959. He worked at Woodward Packing Plant for 11 years, then worked for the state as a meat inspector, retiring March 19, 1992, after 22 years. He was a member of Woodward Church of Christ. Surviving are his wife, Alice of the home; three daughters, Wanda Marshall and Marilyn Gall, both of Woodward and Florice Elwell of Fairview; one son, Larry of Norman; two sisters, Alice Hare of W Williamsburg, N.M., and Irene Hopper of North Carolina; two brothers, Elmore of Buffalo and Ottis of Enid; 11 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother. Memorials may be made to a charity of donor's choice. MELBA C. CURTIS DOVER - The funeral for Melba C. Curtis, 92, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Lighthouse Praise & Worship Center at Kingfisher. The Rev. Fred Jones will officiate. Burial will be in New Home Cemetery. Arrangements are by Sanders Funeral Service, Kingfisher. She was born Oct. 12, 1909, in Dover to John and Ella Maggart Dupy and died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002, at Kingfisher Regional Hospital. She lived in the Dover area most of her life. On March 3, 1934, she married Paul Curtis in Enid. She was a member of Dover Christian Church. Surviving are two sons, Wayne of Enid and Marvin of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Peggy Thiems and Marlita Keene, both of Dover; one sister, Violet Moore of Kingfisher; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Dover Christian Church or Russell-Murray Hospice, El Reno. ERVIN E. GIBSON A graveside service for Ervin E. Gibson, 71, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Cherokee Municipal Cemetery. The casket will be open after 6 p.m. today at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. He was born Feb. 11, 1930, in Cherokee to Charles and Hattie Eads Gibson and died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002. He graduated from Cherokee High School in 1948, and worked as an electronics repairman in Cherokee, Watonga and Woodward. He retired and moved to Enid 17 years ago. He was a past member of Oddfellows Lodge and Enid Stamp and Coin Club. Surviving are one sister, Blanche Weir of Enid; and one brother, Roy of Clinton. TRACY DAY A memorial service for Tracy Day, 80, will be at a later date in Puritan United Church of Christ at Drummond. Cremation was directed by Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. He was born Aug. 29, 1921, in Frederick to William A. and Marie Tidwell Day and died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002, in St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. He grew up in Clovis, N.M., where he graduated from high school. He moved to California and attended the University of Southern California. During World War II, he enlisted in the Army and served in the 182nd Infantry Division. He received the Army Occupational Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal with bronze arrowhead, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with bronze star and the Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged on May 15, 1946. He returned to the university of Southern California and earned an engineering degree. He married Helen Baker on Feb. 14, 1976, in Hunting Beach, Calif. He worked for McDonald-Douglas. They moved to Greeley, Colo. In 1995, then to Enid in 1999. Surviving are his wife, Helen of the home; one daughter, Juilia Weitzel of Greeley; and two grandsons. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the church. KENNETH L. SMITH A graveside service for Kenneth L. Smith, age 66 of Enid, will be 2:00 p.m. today, February 5, 2002, in the Dover Cemetery of Dover, Oklahoma. Rev. Mark LeMarr and Rev. Fred Jones will officiate. Arrangements are through Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Ken was born in the family's log cabin near Osage, Oklahoma, on August 8, 1935, to Phillip and Mary Pannell Smith and died February 1, 2002, in St. Mary's Regional Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. He moved to Dover in 1948 and his parents opened Smith Lumber and Supply. He graduated from Dover High School in 1953, attended Okmulgee Tech and went into the United States Navy Reserve in 1955. On June 1, 1956, Ken married Shirley Ann Struck of Kingfisher and they made their home in Dover. To the union was born a daughter, Lori Jannel in 1959. Ken ended his service with the Navy in 1961. In 1967, he left work with his parents at the lumberyard and started his career with O.G.&E. in Enid. After moving his family on to Enid, Ken worked 27 years for the firm until his retirement in 1994. He was involved with the Enid Homebuilders Association and even served as president in 1986. For many years he was very busy drawing house plans and helping his customers conserve energy. During his retirement Ken enjoyed frequent trips to Branson, Missouri, where he and Shirley lived part of the time, fishing and being host to his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Shirley of the home in Enid, daughter, Lori Pollard and her husband Brad and three grandchildren, Bradi, Jessica and Dustin Pollard all of Crescent, Oklahoma. There will be a visitation to be held after the service in Dover at First Christian Church of Dover or if the power hasn't been restored will be held in the Dover Fire Station. FEBRUARY 6, 2002 LEOLA COGSWELL POND CREEK - A graveside service for Leola Cogswell, 86, will be 11 a.m. Thursday in White Cemetery at Hunter. Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home. She was born July 3, 1915, in Pond Creek to Ira and Emma Hergert Waggoner and died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, in Brookside Inn, Castle Rock, Colo. She grew up in Pond Creek, living with her grandmother. She later moved to Enid and graduated from Enid High School in 1932. She attended Oklahoma A&M at Stillwater for two years, and later took art classes there. In December 1935, she married Roslyn T. Cogswell. They lived in Enid and Blackwell before moving to Pond Creek in 1960. She moved to Colorado seven years ago. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. Surviving are one daughter, Annette Livingston of Parker, Colo.; three grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her husband. He was born Nov. 22, 1919, in Foster, Mo., to Bert Lee and Hattie Dalphine Miles Johnson and died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center. He was educated in Missouri, Arizona and California. He worked in gold mines in Grass Valley, Calif., and the coal mines in Missouri. He served in the Army during World War II and was honorably discharged on Nov. 25, 1945. He married Barbara Reeves in Auburn, Calif., on Nov. 23, 1951. He worked in the lumber mills for nine years, then received a general contractors license. He was self-employed as a backhoe operator until retiring in 1981. Surviving are his wife, Barbara of the home; one son, Milford Jr. of Enid; three daughters, Phyllis Bachilla of Cameron Park, Calif., Cyndi Zillyette of Tahlequah and Lynette Johnson of Reno, Nev.; one sister, Olga Shea of Sacremento, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Maine Church of the Nazarene. WARDIE J. WILKINS The funeral for Wardie J. He was born Dec. 5, 1912, in Waukomis to James and Katherine Hartman Wilkins and died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, in Golden Oaks Nursing home. He graduated from Waukomis High School in 1932. In 1939, he married Vada Tyner. He worked for the United States Air Force for 30 years at Vance Air Force Base, the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs and Eilseon Air Force Base in Fairbanks, Alaska. He served in the Navy during World War II, taking part in the invasions of Palau, Feyte, Susen, Iwo Jima and Okinawa. He retired in 1972 and made his home in Colorado Springs before moving to Enid. He was a member of First Christian Church of Waukomis. Surviving are his wife, Vada of Golden Oaks Nursing Home; and one nephew, Bill Wilkins. He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the church. LLOYD HERRIN (PHOTO) The funeral for Lloyd Herrin, 82, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. He was born July 20, 1919, in Bison to Irvin Lloyd and Ada Dell Hayes Herrin and died Monday Feb. 4, 2002, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center. He grew up east of Hennessey and attended Hennessey High School. On Aug. 12, 1939, he married Esther Secor at the home of the Rev. Wallace Linton in Hennessey. He farmed east of Bison and was a member of Pleasant Valley Christian Union Church. He served as an elder and served on various boards. In 1993, he was honored with the Bankers Award for Outstanding Conservation in Farming. He was a member of Enid Men's Garden Club. Surviving are his wife, Esther of the home; one daughter, Wynema Kay Martin of Madill; one son, Irvin III of Enid; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister. Riley in Junction City, KS to James D. Friday and Frieda Lee Homeratha and died February 1, 2002 in Oklahoma City after an accident. James moved with his family to Enid where he attended school. After graduation he attended Northern Oklahoma College and Haskell Indian Junior College. James played high school football and was an avid O.U. fan. He worked in maintenance and was also an artist. He was preceded in death by his father, James D. Friday of Ethete, Wyoming. He is survived by his two children, Checotah Friday and Jovanna "Pretty Rose: Friday; his mother, Frieda Homeratha; one brother, Troy Friday; three sisters, Shanna Friday, Chawee Ellis, and Katherine Bueno. OPAL C. WALLING MOORELAND - A graveside service for Opal Catherine Walling, 96, will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Mooreland Cemetery. The Rev. Jim Veal will officiate. Arrangements are by Billings Funeral Home. She was born Aug. 6, 1905, near Curtis to William Riley and Nora Ellen Matthews, Phye and died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002. She attended school at Hawkeye and Mooreland. On Sept. 12, 1921, she married Charles Arthur Walling in Woodward. In 1962, she began work as a housekeeper for Mooreland Community Hospital, retiring in 1973. She was a member of the Triple M. Club, First Christian Church and Mooreland American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving are one brother, Frank Phye; two grandsons; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son and four brothers. Memorials may be made to the church's building fund. BEN E. BLACKWELL SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The funeral for Ben E. Blackwell, 81, will be 11 a.m. Saturday in North Pacolet Baptist Church. He was born in Campobello, S.C., to James R. and Lonah Fagan Blackwell and died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002, at his home in Spartanburg. Visitation with family will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. He attended Landrum schools and graduated from Clemson College with bachelor's and master's degrees. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and was awarded the Air Medal and bronze oak leaf cluster for 74 operational flight missions. He was discharged as a major. He was an agriculture teacher in School Districts One and Five, last at James F. Byrnes High School in Duncan. He was a member and past president of Landrum and Duncan Ruritan Clubs, charter member of Landrum Fire Department, Spartanburg County Livestock Association, South Carolina Cattlemen's Association, Landrum Masonic Lodge No. 278, Duncan First Baptist Church and North Pacolet Baptist Church. He was a deacon. Surviving are his wife, Lois Turner Blackwell; three daughters, June Mays of Birmingham, Ala., Jeannine Blackwell of Lexington, Ky., and Judith Anne Goodwin of Augusta, Ga.; one sister, Velma B. Visitation with family will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. She was born March 21, 1935, to Charlie and Eliza Ina Sanderson Anderson and died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2002, at Wichita. She was retired after 34 years as a Cessna Aircraft electric wiring employee. Surviving are her husband, Frank of the home; one son, Dan McKee of Wichita; three daughters, Yvonne Johnson and Nina Freeman, both of Wichita, and Cindy Conway of Springtown, Texas; one stepdaughter, Pamela burger of Wichita; her mother, Ina Chance of Hamilton, Mont.; two brothers, Clarence Anderson of Darby, Mont., and Jim Anderson of Enid; one sister, Vera Weer of Darby, Mont.; eight grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Wardie was born on December 5, 1912 in Waukomis, Oklahoma, the son of James and Katherine Hartman Wilkins, and died Monday morning, February 4, 2002 in Golden Oaks Nursing Home. He was raised and educated in Waukomis, graduating from Waukomis High School in 1932. He married Vada Tyner in 1939. He worked for the U.S. Air Force for thirty years, at Vance Air Force Base in Enid, the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado and Eilseon Air Force Base in Fairbanks, Alaska. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Waukomis. He is survived by his wife, Vada of Golden Oaks Nursing Home, and a nephew, Bill Wilkins. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters. She was born April 22, 1925 in Gracemont, OK to Edward William and Eva Arlene Pogue Abram and died Tuesday, February 5, 2002 at St. Mary's Medical Center. She attended school in Lacy, OK. She moved to Enid in 1943. On April 10, 1949, she married Raymond Crow. She worked in Enid at Marquis Studio for several years. She also worked as a sitter for the elderly for several years, at the same time maintaining her position as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Surviving is her husband Raymond, three sons, Jim and his wife Connie of Lahoma, Richard and Dean both of Enid, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Bill Abram of Derby, KS and Gerald Abram of Bentonville, Ark. Genevieve loved her family dearly. She was born March 14, 1920, in Locust Grove to Stonewall Jackson Foreman and Alice Alvina Funk Foreman and died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002, in a Kerrville hospital. On June 1, 1937, she married Floyd Glenn Noble. She had lived in Kerrville for two years, moving there from Watonga. She worked as a writer, editor and columnist at the Watonga Republican. She later became part owner and office manager of Wilkinson Mortuary in Watonga, retiring after 20 years of service. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Kerrville. While in Watonga, she was a member of Watonga First Baptist Church, taught Sunday school and played the piano. She was a member of Jolly Workers FCE and the church's Young at Heart and Kitchen Band. Surviving are three daughters, Glenda Jo Wilkinson of Watonga, Patricia Kay Badry of Oklahoma City and Sharon Ann "Sherry" Cunningham of Kerrville; one son, Terry Sr. of Breckenridge, Texas; three brothers, W ilson F. Foreman of Liberty Hill, Texas, Vincent Eugene Foreman of Morrison, Tenn., and Lawrence Dillon Foreman of Morrison, Ill; 17 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. FEBRUARY 8, 2002 CHARLOTTE ENT HELENA - The funeral for Charlotte Ent, 94, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Helena Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. Dean Holt will officiate. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home, and before service at the church, Saturday. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home. She was born Nov. 21, 1908, to Joe and Clara Philips and died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002, at Fairview Hospital. As a young woman, she did domestic work for a woman near Kansas City, Kan., and another in Beaver. She also worked on a farm near Helena, for Mrs. Isobel Ent. She married George Ent in Garfield County. They continued to live on the farm until 1952, when they moved to Helena. He died in 1967. She moved to the Great Plains Care Center in September 1998. There are no known survivors. Memorials may be made to Helena Church of the Nazarene with the funeral home acting as custodian of the funds. She was born Jan. 21, 1921, at Renfrow to Cecil and Martha Dorman McCoy and died Wednesday, Feb 6, 2002, at Enid. She was a longtime area resident and a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Annes Altar Society and Eurika Club. She married Lawrence Yunker July 15, 1941. He died Aug. 28, 1970. Surviving are two sons, David Yunker of Yuma, Ariz., and Dennis Yunker of Wakita; a daughter, Joan Adelman of Piedmont; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was born Oct. 17, 1920, in Enid to Dewitt and Blondenia Crawford and died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002, at Norman Regional Hospital. He married Maxine Crawford Elkins July 6, 1941, in Hunter. He enlisted in the Navy in July 1943, and served with the Seabees in the South Pacific. He received an honorable discharge in December 1945. He then worked as a civil servant at Vance Air Force Base until he was transferred to Shepard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas. He later transferred to the Joe Smalley Armory in Norman and ended his career with 17 year at the Krause Armory in Oklahoma City, retiring in 1980. Surviving are his wife, Maxine; a daughter, Pat Feuerborn of Norman; a son, David Crawford of Vancouver, Wash.; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two children and one brother. THOMAS MICHAEL KIERNAN Thomas Michael Kiernan, 67, was born January 21, 1935 in Hammond, Indiana the son of Thomas Cecil and Josephine Kiernan. Early years were spent in Redwood, CA and he moved to Altamont, IL and attended St. Elmo High School from eighth through eleventh grade. He graduated from Mattoon High in 1953 lettering in basketball. He served with the U.S. Marine Corp from 1953-1957 when he was honorably discharged. He was a Private with the specialty of Rifleman and travels included Okinawa, Hawaii and the Phillipines. Tom attended Eastern Illinois University in 1958. He married Sally Ann Schroeder on November 25, 1960 in Effington, IL where he worked as an announcer for a radio station. On December 9, 1961 Thomas Michael Kiernan Jr. was born and in 1963 Tom Sr. moved to Decatur, IL and founded Kiernan Oil Company. Jon Allen Kiernan was born June 26, 1966. Tom promoted oil wells in Illinois and Indiana until 2001 and was Midwest Wildcatter of the year in 1975. Tom loved kids and coached little league for years spending many hours on the road. He had a love of family, love of his pet, love of the 50's era and Frank Sinatra "I did it my way." He was very active with his eight grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of the home; 2 sons, Thomas Michael Kiernan Jr. "Mike" and wife, Kathy, their children are Ryan, Nicole and Alicia; son Jon Allen Kiernan and wife Kathy, their children are Andrew, Jon, Christian, Danner and Bryce; two sisters Patricia Patterson of New Jersey and Joan Melzer of Granite City, MO. He was born January 19, 1917 in Snyder, Oklahoma to Robert Waller and Stella Mae Franklin Stiles and died Sunday morning, February 3, 2002 in Integris Bass Baptist Health Center. Farrel later moved to Porter, Oklahoma at the age of four. He was a graduate of Porter High School and then attended Tulsa Business College. Farrel enlisted in 1941 in the U.S. Army Air Corp., which is now the United States Air Force. He served his time with Vance Air Force Base of Enid, Oklahoma until his discharge in 1945. On February 15, 1947 he married Dorothy Wilkinson in Enid and on the 15th they would have been married for 55 years. After his discharge, Farrel worked as a civilian worker at Vance for 39 years. He served as an Aircraft Electrical Specialist and at the time of his retirement was the head of his department. Farrel is survived by his wife Dorothy of the home; son David and daughter-in-law Mona Stiles of Lahoma; a brother, Robert Vernon Stiles of Muskogee, OK and two grandchildren, Patrick Stiles of Lahoma and Lisa Stiles of Peterhead, Scotland. He was a charter member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus, 4th rank. She had lived in Fairfield, Iowa, since 1955, with her previous residence in Greenburg, Kan. She taught school in Richland and Keosauqua school systems. She completed her master's degree at the University of Iowa and taught vocational office studies at Southeastern Community College in Burlington, Iowa, for many years, until her retirement. She was the district trainer for AARP for 10 years. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and Retired Michigan-Wisconsin Pipeline Retirees. She also was a member of First United Methodist Church in Fairfield. Surviving are two sons, David Innis of Lincoln, Neb., and Joe Innis of Amarillo, Texas; two daughters, Barbara Barwick of Marietta, Ga., and Gail Dawson of St. Maarten, Netherland Antilles; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. They made their home in Oklahoma City and later moved to Phoenix in the late 1920's. In 1941, they made their home in Pennington Gap, Va., where she worked for an attorney and also worked for Federal Crop Insurance. In 1960 they moved to Pineville, Ky., where she was an auditor for Clear Creek Baptist College. In 1964 they moved to New Orleans, where she was a houseparent and teacher at the Magnolia School for Retarded Children. In 1974 they made their home in Mooreland, where they helped their son with his funeral home. She also helped at Discovery Depot Daycare. Her husband died Dec. 3, 1988. She has lived in Mooreland Heritage Manor since 1987. She was a lifelong member of the Baptist faith and was a member of Mooreland First Baptist Church since 1974. Surviving are one daughter, JoAnn Jenkins of Frankfort, Ky; one son, Harry G. Billings of Woodward; two brothers, Fred Fannon of Brookneal, Va., and Morris Fannon of Pennington Gap; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He married Connie Guest in 1964, in Midwest City. He enlisted in the Army and attended OCS in Knoxville, Tenn. He was a lieutenant in the armored calvary and served a two-year tour of duty in Germany. Following an honorable discharge from the Army, he returned to the Oklahoma City area, where he worked as a draftsman. He also worked as a construction superintendent for 25 years. He married Pamala Holmes Smith in Edmond in 1977. Surviving are one daughter, Jennifer Pochiro of Las Vegas; a step-daughter, Amanda Smith h of Oklahoma City; a brother, Alan Bowles of Bartlesville; two grandchildren; and one step-grandchild. She babysat children from the early 1960's until her retirement in 1976. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was the chaplain and chairman of the Calling Committee of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Woodward F.F.W. Post No. 1335 and M.O.C.A. Auxiliary. Surviving are three daughters, Oleta May Roach, June Latimer, and Debra Booth; one son, Lawrence, all of Woodward; one half brother, Bobby Smith of Hugo; one half sister, Ruby Darlene Hays of Hugo; two step-brothers, Frank Owens of Woodward, and Buster Owens of Larned, Kan.; one step-sister, Daisy High of Wichita, Kan.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She received her formal education in schools in Oklahoma, Kansas and Washington. She married Jim L. Schroeder April 16, 1932. They made their home northwest of Freedom. He died Aug. 27, 1990. In 1993, she moved to Alva. Surviving are two daughter, Pat Pollino of Alva, and Bonita Morrill of Los Gatos, Calif.; two sons, Max of Hoisington, Kan., and Jim R. of Dallas; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
