The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ==================================================================== Surnames: Davis, Giles, Wick Urbin Davis July 07, 1996 Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Richard's Catholic Church in Carnegie for Urbin Davis, 80, of Carnegie, who died 07-Jul-1996 at the Carnegie Hospital. Officiating was Father Mike Wheelahan. A wake service was held in the Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Home Chapel in Carnegie. Burial was in the Carnegie Cemetery under the direction of Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Home. Davis was born 29-Sep-1915 in Cold Springs to J.H. and Lottie (Giles) Davis. He married the former Elizabeth Wick 13-Sep-1943 in Anadarko. Davis moved to the Caddo County area in 1953. He was a farmer and had been employed at the Farmers Co-op Elevator for 15 years. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of the American Legion and St. Richard's Catholic Church. Preceding him in death were his parents; and one grandson, Shawn Kinder. Survivors include his wife, two sons, two daughters, nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, four brothers and one sister. --------------------------------------------------------------------
