Survivors omitted. Friday, November 14, 2003 Durant Daily Democrat Edward F. Shreve, 86 A service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Durant First Baptist Church for Edward F. Shreve, 86, Durant, who died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma. The Rev. James Robinson and Larry Venable will officiate. He was born Sunday, May 13, 1917, in Clarksburg, W.V., to Fielding and Flossie Snow (Stevens) Shreve. He married Billie Jean Ward Nov. 29, 1951, in Carlsbad, N.M. He worked at a dairy farm and a steel mill, in auto and mobile home sales and as a greeter at the First National Bank. He was a memaber of Keenagers, delivered Meals on Wheels and attended Durant Nutrition Center. He loved bowling, cars, gardening, Chicken Foot and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Virgil Shreve and sister Dolly Wilkinson. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery with pallbearers James Edward Allen, Ryan Russell Dobbs, Jason Paul Venable, Scott Alan Venable, John Aaron Venable, Darren Flowers, David Bradford Hicks and Everett McGuire. Honorary pallbearers are Homer D. Wells and Gene Ward. Family hour is 5-7 p.m today at the funeral home.
