Clancy, J. J.
(30 Sep 1948, Thursday, Sayre Sun, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Clancy, of Carter, celebrated their 60th wedding
anniversary, Sunday, Sept. 19.  They were married at Groesbeck, Texas, on
September 18, 1888 and moved to the Carter community in 1903.  Mr.
Clancy's age is 82 and Mrs. Clancy's age is 80.
Four of the five children were present at the celebration.  They were Mrs.
L. M. Webb, Chickasha, Byron Clancy, Carter, Mrs. Raymond Nance, Kansas
City, Kan., Conly Clancy, Carter, Allen Clancy of San Francisco, Cal., was
unable to attend.
Other relatives attending were:  Raymond Nance and son David, Kansas City,
Kan.; Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Wilson, Norman; Mrs. C. L. Newman, Oklahoma City;
Sgt and Mrs. Guy Webb and daughter Beth, Fort Sill; Mrs. Ruby Lee Love and
daughters, Donna and Carol, Oklahoma City; Mrs. Curtis McAdams, Mrs. Jewel
Hall, Walter Hall, Chickasha, Oklahoma, Lt. and Mrs. Ray W. Webb, Fort
Crook Nebr., J. D. Webb, Rush Springs; Mr. and Mrs. Wayland Clancy, Sayre;
Mrs. Annie Briggs, Richmond, Cal.; Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Clancy, Colony,
Okla.; Mr. and Mrs. Van Hall and daughter Jan, Cordell and Mrs. Byron
Clancy of Carter.
