C. Moran, a pioneer resident of the Delhi section, and for three years past a resident of this city, died suddenly at her home Thursday at an early hour. Mrs. Lidda Moran was born August 20, 1863. She was married to Brother Moran November 7, 1889. To this union were born three children. Two survive her death. Mrs. Pearl Morrison and Mrs. Ida Keith. Also one stepson, W. H. Moran. Brother and Sister Moran moved from the state of Arkansas to Oklahoma in 1898, and have lived in Beckham county for the past 20 years. For the past three years they have made their home in Sayre, living on North Fourth street. On the 9th day of November, 1922, she completed her task here and answered her father's call. She was buried in the Delhi cemetery; services were conducted by her brother Luther Davis. The services were well attended by her many friends from Sayre, Delhi and Northland. The floral offerings were very beautiful. We beg to share with her near kindred the hope of meeting her again in that morning of eternal glory for whose golden dawn we wait, with assured trust in the unfailing promise of Him, who is the resurrection and life. --------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.org/ok/beckham/beckham.html
