HEATON, HENRY
(6 Aug 1903, Thursday, Sayre Standard, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
Henry Heaton, seven miles southwest of Berlin, Okla., died Saturday
evening.  He was an elderly man and lived by himself and had no relatives
here.  He had been ailing for some time but had been confined to his bed
about two weeks.  He refused the assistance of kind neighbors who offered
their assistance, they finally notified the county commissioner, J. H.
Maberry of Sayre, of his condition who went immediately to Mr. Heaton's
residence and made an examination.  He found he was suffering with abscess
on his body which the flies had blowed and was alive with maggots. 
Everything was done to relieve him, but was too weak to withstand any
treatment and died as above stated.
