Harrison was born on October 20, 1934 in Reydon, Ok and passed away November 6, 1991 at the age of 57 years and 17 days. Leldon, the son of Jerry Skaggs and Maudie Jane Harrison, graduated from Reydon High School before receiving his degree in Social Studies and P.E. from West Texas State. On October 21, 1952 he married Patricia Nell Spurlin in Wellington, TX and they lived in Amarillo, Kelton, Wheeler and Allison, TX where Leldon taught and coached before moving to Reydon in 1972. Leldon coached for a couple of years before his health prevented it. He continued teaching at Reydon until his retirement in october of 1990. He was a member of the Reydon United Methodist Church and the Reydon Masonic Lodge where he was a 32nd degree mason. Leldon also was a member of the Reydon Volunteer Firefighters. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Walter and Elmer. He is survived by his wife Patty of the home; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Mike Walker of Lawton, OK and Sue and Larry Barrett of Folsom, California; 3 grandchildren, Brendon and Caitlin Barrett and Blake Walker; 3 sisters, Evs Schoenhals of Shattuck, OK, Erma Hamon of Reydon, OK, and Veta Moore of Tempe, AZ; 5 brothers, Bruce of Allison, TX, John of Las Vegas, NV, Roy of Texola, OK, Jay of Reydon, OK and Bill of Cheyenne, OK and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Saturday, November 9, 1991 at 2:30 p.m. in the Reydon Community Building with Mark Smith officiating. Burial followed in the White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne.
