Harrel were held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Leedey United Methodist Church. Interment followed at Shirley Cemetery, Leedey, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Services were arranged and conducted by Shaw Funeral Home of Leedey. Jason W. Harrel, son of G.W. and Karen Harrel, was born in Woodward, OK on November 5, 1965 and died last Tuesday, December 4, 2001 at the St. John's Hospital in Tulsa, OK at the age of 36. Jason attended Leedey Public Schools and graduated in 1984 as salutatorian of his class. Jason then continued his education at Southwest Oklahoma State University and graduated in 1988. Jason was a member of the BPOE of Elk City, OK. On April 6, 1991 Jason was united in marriage at Leedey, with Michele Chatfield. Jason and Micheles' first residence was established in Leedey, and in September 2001 moved to Chickasha, OK. Jason was baptized at six months of age and rededicated his life to the Lord at the age of seventeen and became a member of the First United Methodist Church in Leedey which he attended the remainder of his life. Jason was predceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Doris Kauk; and by his paternal grandfather, Hugh Harrel. He is survived by his wife, Michele Harrel of Chickasha, OK; his children: Jacob, Josh, and Jacee of the home; his parents, G.W. and Karen Harrel of Leedey; his brother, Celo Harrel and wife, Patricia and family of Elk City, OK; his sister, Misti Goldston and husband, Charles and family of Yukon; his paternal grandmother, Clystia Harrel of Leedey; his maternal grandfather, Paul Kauk of Leedey; his in-laws, Jim and Billie Chatfield of Midland, Texas; his aunts, several cousins, nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
