   Resident Dies Here Following Stroke * R.A.HANKINS,long-time Elk City
   resident,died in a local hospital Saturday afternoon after suffering a
   stroke several days ago.Arrangements are pending and will be made by
   Savage.He was a member of the Methodist church. ******RITES SET
   TUESDAY FOR R.A.HANKINS ***Services for Robert A.HANKINS,81-year-old
   retired farmer,will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Methodist
   church.HANKINS died here Saturday .He is survived by his wife,of the
   home,806 North Washington;a son,Cecil,Wichita,Kan.;four
   daughters,Mrs.Mary THOMAS,Carter;Mrs.Flora GLASGOW,Santa
   Anna,Calif.;Mrs.Lloyd ADAMS,Amarillo,and
   Mrs.F.D.WILSON;Taft,Calif.;three sisters,Mrs.Lula
   GREGGSBY,Dallas;Mrs.Roy COE,Seymour,Texas,and Mrs.Joe
   FERGUSON,Cleburne,Texas;two brothers,George of Bethany,and Cleve of
   Holdenville,10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.Born in
   Texas,he homesteaded here in 1900 and moved to Elk City when he
   retired.He was a member of the Methodist church.Rev.Cecil COOVER will
   officiate and burial will be at Carter with Savage in charge.

   Mrs.Lloyd Adams of Amarillo,Mrs.Mary THOMAS of Carter and Mr.and
   Mrs.R.C.HANKINS of Wichita,have been here during the past week at the
   bedside of R.A.HANKINS,806 North Washington.The elder Mr.HANKINS
   suffered a stroke recently but is reported to be improved.Mr.and
   Mrs.ADAMS and Mrs.THOMAS have returned to their homes and the
   R.C.HANKIN'S remained for a longer visit.
