SANDERS, JENNIE
(27 Sep 1928, Thursday, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK):
Mrs. Jennie Jones Sanders was born in West Virginia June 9th, 1851.  She
was united in marriage to Mr. T. J. Sanders, September 15th, 1976 (sic). 
To this union four children were born, one of which died in infancy.
On September 23rd 1928 the death angle (sic) visited the home of Bro. and
Sister Sanders and took this true and faithful companion of Brother
Sanders who had been his companion for more than fifty years.  She was 77
years, 3 months and 14 days old.
Brother and Sister Sanders moved to this community 27 years ago from
Texas, and for many years they lived on a farm north of town, but for the
last ten years they have resided in Erick.  Brother and Sister Sanders
have lived true and faithful Christian citizens of the community in which
they have lived.  They always loved and were loved by all with whom they
came in contact.
Mrs. Sanders was converted and joined the Baptist church when she was only
a child, but after her marriage in 1877 (sic), she united with the
Methodist church and remained a member until she was borne to her reward
by the death angel.
She leaves to mourn her departure a husband, Mr. T. J. Sanders of Erick;
two sons Messers Q. E. and E. D. Sanders of Erick; and one daughter, Mrs.
Myrtle Capps of Tyrone, Oklahoma, and a number of grandchildren and a host
of other relatives and friends.
The funeral was conducted from the Methodist Church and her remains were
laid to rest in the Erick cemetery, September 25th, 1928.  Alva R.
Hutchinson, Pastor of M. E. Church.
