Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Elk City, Beckham County, Oklahoma under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home. Lola Mae was born January 27, 1921 to Benjamin Franklin and Belvia Etta Loyd in Blue Mountain, Arkansas and died Friday Feburary 22, 2002 at the age of 81. She came with her family to the Merritt Commun ity from Arkansas and attended Merritt School. She has lived in the Merritt and Elk City communitites since that time. She was married to Lawrence Dudley Sapp on April 5, 1947, in Elk City. Lola Mae had been an employee of the Green Stamp Store for 20 years. She was a member of the Elk Creek Primitive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, five brothers, one sister and one brother-in-law. Survivors include two daughers, Shelia Burba and husband Hal of Tulsa, Sandra McClure of Elk City; two sisters, Margarette Sapp of Elk City, Leona Jones of Warrensburg, Missouri; two brothers, O.B. Loyd of Florida, Oran Loyd of Belia Vista, Arkansas; one sister-in-law, Blanch Sapp of Elk City and four grandchildren. The Elk City Daily New, Elk City, OK 25-Feb-2002
