She had gone to her work at the Elk City Laundry at the usual time and gone to her table. She made a remark that she did not feel well and a short time afterward had passed away. Mrs. Gowdy was born in Tuscaraws County, Ohio, April 30th, 1892, and died at her home in Elk City, July 31, 1929, at the age of thirty-seven years, two months and twenty days of age. She lived with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene S. Repass at that place until she was sixteen years of age, when the family moved to Oklahoma, settling at Grimes. In 1914 she was married to Bluform Turbyfill and to this union was born one daughter, Neva Loren. Following the death of her husband in 1917, she, with her infant daughter, moved to Elk City where she accepted a position at the Elk City Laundry, which position she held until last September. She has however, worked as a relief helper since that time. She was married to Forrest Gowdy of this city in 1924. She is survived by her husband and daughter, two sisters, Mrs. W. T. Parry of Newton Falls, Ohio, and Mrs. S. F. Lancaster of Grimes; three brothers, R. A. Repass of Mentor, Ohio, Ralph L. Repass of this city and Glenn Repass, who was in California at the time of her death and was unable to be notified in time for him to be present at the funeral. Funeral services were held at the Broadway Methodist church last Sunday afternoon, with Rev. E. C. Webb, officiating. Interment was made in the Fairlawn cemetery with Grubitz & Son in charge. Card of Thanks We want to express our thanks and appreciation to all the friends who were so wonderful to us in our hour of bereavement.
