Willis, for many years a business man in Clyde, passed away at his home in Lorain last Sunday, aged about 80 years. The remains were brought to Clyde on the 2:19 train yesterday afternoon, accompanied by his son-in-law, Claude Rushton and children, and taken to McPherson cemetery, where brief services were conducted by Rev. Isaiah Revennaugh. Deceased was born on a farm on North Ridge in what is known as Coopertown, and spent his boyhood days in that vicinity. Later he moved to Clyde and was united in marriage to Miss Adelia Dewey. Mr. Willis and his father constructed the block where the Electric Shop and Stokes meat market now are located. He also built the home where Wm. Rouch lives and resided there for many years. They moved later to the home now occupied by Harkness Lay. Mr. Willis conducted a shoe store here for many years, and about 15 years ago moved to Lorain, where his wife died shortly after and was brought to Clyde for burial. He was the father of three children, one who died in infancy, a son, Paul, died in 1893, and a daughter, Mrs. Claude Rushton, passed away a number of years ago. He was an uncle to Thos. P. Dewey and also of J. A. and Ed. Willis, who are now in Florida. ----
