Centeno, a retired self-employed architect, died Monday, July 18, 2005 at his home with his family by his side. He was 73 years old. The son of the late Jose and Maria T. Encarnacion Centeno, George was born on August 26, 1931 in Santurce, Puerto Rico. George moved to the United States in 1948 at the age of seventeen and in 1952, proudly began serving in the U.S. Army. George received the Korean Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, a Purple Heart and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Association. On August 18, 1956, George married the former Louisa Castro in St. Vincent's Roman Catholic Church in Bayonne, N.J. He was a self-employed architect in New Jersey, was a member of the Corona Lodge Mason's in Hasbrouck Heights, N.J. and in 1999, retired and moved to New Hampton. George is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Louisa at home; three children, Leslie Mongilia of New Hampton, Arlene Heitzmann of Middletown and Michael Centeno and his wife Carmela of Sandown, N.H.; seven grandchildren, Nicholas, George, Jonathan, David, Stephanie, Olivia and Louis and four sisters and six brothers, all of California. Son of the late Christopher and Emma Lewis Joyce, he was born on December 11, 1929 in Beacon. He wed Shirley Phillips on January 9, 1954 at the Hughsonville Presbyterian Church. They remained happily married for 51 loving years. Mr. Joyce served his country in the United States Army from 1951 to 1957, fighting in the Korean War in the Tank Battalion. Patrick worked for many years as a tool and dye maker for the Green Fan Company in Beacon. He also worked as a custodian for the Spackenkill School District from 1985-1994. In his free time he was Elder and adult youth group leader for the Hughsonville Presbyterian Church. He also was Trustee for Local 38 Sheetmetal Workers Union and a volunteer for the Hughsonville Fire Company. The daughter of the late Thomas Mannion and Margaret Greason, she was born on May 5, 1947 in Manhattan, N.Y. Marie was a member of the Junior June Taylor Dancers. Marie was a warm-hearted woman who was easy with a laugh and generous with her time. Marie is survived by her son Jason Maass and his wife Kelli, her former husband Jerry Maass of Bronx, N.Y., her brothers Spencer Mannion of Ogdensburg, N.J. and Mark Mannion of Bronx, N.Y. Spire, 77, of Newburgh, a retired teacher for Delaware Valley School District, Callicoon, died July 18, 2005 at Campbell Hall Residential Health Care Facility in Campbell Hall. The daughter of Herman C. Koenig and Lillian Cronin, she was born August 11, 1927 in New York, N.Y. She graduated from Mt. St. Ursula Academy & College of New Rochelle. Sudmann passed away at Premier Estates Living Community in Wayne, NE on July 17, 2005. He was 97. He was the son of Cristian Ernst Heinrich and Marie Anna Margarete (Cordes) Sudmann. He was born on February 12, 1908 in Bremen, Germany. He was the widower of his beloved wife Grace of 59 years who passed away on December 9, 1993. He immigrated to this country when he was nineteen years old. He became an American citizen and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a retired businessman, and a longtime resident of West Hempstead, NY. He is survived by one sister Marga Nitzsche in Germany. Two sons, Allan E Sudmann and his wife Betty of Lindenhurst, NY and Robert H. Sudmann and his wife Cathy of Livingston Manor, NY. One daughter, Joan Sudmann Shapiro and her husband Charles of Wayne, NE. Eight grandchildren, Allan E. A native of Middletown, N.Y., he was retired from Orange County Gov't Center in Goshen, N.Y.; was a US Air Force Veteran and formerly was active in the Civil Air Patrol. He is survived by his wife Florence L. White; his mother Martha Rogers White of Beverly Hill, Fla.; three daughters, JoAnn L. Courter and husband Wygant of Bracey, Janet M. White and companion Raymond of Middletown, N.Y., Joyce W. Karsten and husband Joseph of Moncure, N.C.; one son, Charles Edson White and his wife Cheryl of Matthews, N.C.; one sister Evelyn Youngblood of Beverly Hills, Fla.; and a brother Alfred White of South Hill. Yaver, Ethel Ethel Yaver, a retired bookkeeper for S & L Oil Company in Brooklyn, N.Y., and 52 year resident of the area, died Tuesday July 19, 2005 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh Campus. She was 91. Daughter of the late Jacob London and the late Sarah Newman London, she was born November 7, 1913 in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was the widow of Benjamin Yaver. She is survived by her daughter, Jinny Goff and her husband, Robert, of Wappingers Falls, N.Y.; son, Perry Yaver of Brighton, Mich.; and grandson, Blake Goff of Wappingers Falls, N.Y. There will be no calling hours. Graveside services followed by burial will be held on Thursday July 21, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Cedar Park Cemetery in Paramus, N.J.
