He was 78. The son of the late Lehman Anderson and Ida Lindsey-Phillips, he was born January 6, 1927 in Elba, Coffee County, AL. Mr. Anderson was inducted into the Army the 4th of May 1945 and is thus a World War II Army veteran. He was assigned to the 587th Motor Ambulance Co. as a medic and ambulance driver. He was awarded the Victory Medal and the Army Occupation Medal. He was proud to have served his country. Survivors include two daughters, Ruth E. Anderson-Anderson and husband Wayne of Glenham, N.Y. and Vivian Curtis of Newburgh; one brother, Billie Joe Anderson of Middletown, N.Y.; two sisters, Annie Belle Flournoy of Stuart, Fla. and Sarah Huntley of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; four granddaughters, Jalyna West and husband Raymond of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Tiffany Lynette Anderson and Terese Waynelle Anderson both of Boston, Mass. and Josayne Marye Anderson of Hartford, Conn; three grandsons, Michael, Carlton and Jonathan Curtis all of Orlando, Fla.; five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, many relatives and friends. The daughter of the late Stephen and Fabiola Gagnon Krinsky, Lorraine was born on July 2, 1932 in Manchester, N.H. She married John Bowers in 1957. Together with her family, she moved to Middletown in 1967 from Tuxedo, N.Y. and was a Registered Nurse at O.R.M.C., Horton Campus for 25 years until her retirement in 1991. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Middletown and later at Our Lady of the Infant Savior in Pine Bush after moving to Bloomingburg. "Red" Dominick, of Newburgh, a former City of Newburgh Police Officer and Building and Grounds Supervisor with the Newburgh City School District, entered into rest Thursday, January 13, 2005 at home. He was 74. Son of the late Robert and Annabel Rau Dominick, he was born August 3, 1930 in Newburgh. Red was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy, Class of '48, where he had an outstanding catching career. He proudly served his country in the US Navy, where he earned the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Medal. Red played semi-pro baseball with the Newburgh Nuclears. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh, a member of CSEA and several snowmobile clubs. He will be remembered also for his love of fishing and boating. He will be dearly missed. Hearns of New Windsor, entered into rest Thursday January 13, 2005 in Cornwall Hospital. He was 86. Son of the late Thomas and Helen O'Donnell Hearns, he was born December 9, 1918 in Albany, N.Y. He married Marilyn Cariffe on April 4, 1948. Donald retired as a salesman from the Irving Ness Co. in 1983 after 20 years of service. Prior to that he worked for the Reuben H. Donnelly Corp. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II as a radio operator in a C-47, in the China-Burma-India theater of operations. Donald was known for his love of animals and devotion to all causes that would benefit them. In the waning years of his life, his beloved dog, "Pug", was always at his side. He was also a life-time fan of the "Fighting Irish" of Notre Dame. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Cariffe Hearns; his brother-in-law, Robert Cariffe; his sister-in-law, Bette Cariffe; and several nieces and nephews. The son of the late Francis A. Kimler and the late Ethel Lown Kimler McKinney, he was born September 10, 1951 in New Haven, Conn. He served in the United States Marine Corps in Okinawa during the Vietnam War. A family statement reads: "He loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter, a Harley Davidson rider, but most of all he took great pride in his wife and children." He was a manager of a successful store until his diagnosis. He was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather. Friends may call at the Loucks Funeral Home, Inc., 79 N. Main St., Ellenville, N.Y. on Monday January 17, 2005 from 6-8 PM with a brief funeral service to be held at 8:00 PM. Cremation will be at the convenience of the family.
