Feldman, Milton Milton Feldman, a longtime area resident and a retired self employed Dentist in South Fallsburg, died on Monday, January 10, 2005 in Catskill Regional Medical Center. He was 86. Milton was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 30, 1918, the son of Julius and Mary (Musher) Feldman. He was a World War II Army Veteran. Milton was a member of the Fallsburg Lions Club and the South Fallsburg Hebrew Association Synagogue. She was born on October 30, 1914 in Warwick, N.Y., to Carmella Demare and Joseph Frustaci. A seamstress for Franette Sportswear, she retired in 1976. She was the widow of Charles J. Frustaci who predeceased her on April 7, 1990. She was a communicant of St. Columba R.C. Church, Chester, N.Y. and a member of the Chester Golden Age Club. Green, Selma Goodman Selma Goodman Green died of complications from Alzheimer's Disease on January 10, 2005 at her home in Glen Wild, N.Y. Selma was born to Pauline Ram Goodman and Samuel Joseph Goodman in Newark, N.J. She graduated as salutatorian from her high school class in Irvington, N.J. and then went on to Newark Beth Israel Hospital School of Nursing earning a nursing degree. She also attended Rutgers University, Seton Hall College and Union College, becoming a Registered Professional Nurse with an Associate Degree in Health Education. Selma continued her love of the health field even after going into business with her husband Robert Green; serving as a volunteer Red Cross Instructor of Home Nursing and Child Care and assuming the duties as a Board Member of the Plainfield, N.J. Area American Red Cross. Later in Sullivan County, Selma became a member of the Professional Advisory Board of the Sullivan County Public Health Nurses' Association and President of the Hudson Valley Health Systems Agency. Selma was a founder and past President of Planned Parenthood of Sullivan County. She and her husband Robert founded the Robert Green Auto Dealerships in 1968. Selma was very active in the family business and went on to be the appointed franchise holder of Robert Green Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep. Always striving to further the equal vision of the role of women in business and community, Selma was a founding member and past President of the Catskill Mountain Business and Professional Women's Association. In 1986, she was chosen as their "Woman of the Year". She also was a member of the National Association of Female Executives. She demonstrated a high level of altruism and commitment to the community by her involvement in many civic and community organizations. She was the first female President of Temple Sholom in Monticello, N.Y. and simultaneously served as a President of the New Jersey and West Hudson Valley Council of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations. It was her belief that it was her duty as a citizen to take a leadership role in the community and not just be a member. Her husband of over 50 years, Robert Green predeceased her in 2001. She also was the loving mother and grandmother of three children and eight grandchildren: her daughter Barbara Elbeze and her husband Fernand of Fairfax, Va., and her two sons; Lawrence Green and his wife Barbara of New York City and Robert Green and his fianc‚e Jacqueline Ricciani of Glen Wild. Her grandchildren: Suzanne Elbeze-Bailey, Danielle Elbeze, Martin, Harrison, Stephen, Robert, Daniel and Katherine Green. She found the time to be dedicated to them, nurturing them and leaving them with the legacy of her commitment and accomplishments. She also leaves her devoted sister, Claire Knifel Cohan and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews who adored and respected her. She was 55. Born April 25, 1949 in Beacon, she was the daughter of Ralph and Agnes Burke Ketcham. She was on the Board of Directors for Orange County Safe Homes; a Certified Hypnotherapist, Certified Acupuncture Detox Specialist, LCSW, ACSW, BCD and CASAC. She was an Avid New York Liberty Fan and gardener. A friend's statement reads: "Sunny Ketcham's commitment to her chosen field was inspired and propelled by a heart felt belief in the sanctity of the human spirit. Her sphere of influence extended far beyond her family, her friends and even her career. She intimately touched aspects of her community and individuals within the community in ways that will be remembered always." Mr. Walter Alfred Morgan, a longtime resident of Milton, NY and General Manager for Norco in Milton, died Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at home with his family by his side. He was 71. Walter and Joann retired to Kerhonkson and he worked part time for Crystal Run and also had a wood working business. He was born September 22, 1933 in Port Jervis, NY, the son of the late Walter and the late Mary Masker Morgan. Walter was married for 47 years to Joann Lane Morgan whom he married on April 28, 1957. He was a member of AARP. Walter served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was extremely proud of his grandson Walter who is currently serving in the U.S. Army in Iraq. A family statement read: "Walter was an outdoor s man. He loved fishing, hunting and had a hobby of wood working. He especially enjoyed sitting by a bonfire with his sons and grandchildren." He was a 2003 graduate of Pine Bush Central High School. He was the husband of Kira Conklin VonRonn. Survivors include his beloved wife at home; his loving parents, Raymond of Australia and Debra of Walker Valley; his loving sisters, Gina, Courtney and Samantha of Walker Valley; his loving grandmother, Maria VonRonn of Walker Valley, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Wells of Middletown, a lifelong resident of the area and retired laundry worker, died January 11, 2005. She was 93. The daughter of the late George Brine and Edna K. Ballard-Smith, she was born on September 24, 1911 in Warwick, NY. Survivors include her daughter, Glenda Kozireski; her son, Harry A. Leeper Sr. and his wife Rosemarie; her 13 grandchildren: Ann Accomando and her husband Paul, Harry Leeper and his wife Marie, Ray Kozireski and his wife Tammy, Joan Leeper, Harvey Leeper, Dawn Leeper, Ralph Leeper and his wife Vivian, George Williams and his wife Debbie, Randy, Brenda, Bobby, Kenny and Debbie. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, her sisters-in-law, Jeanette Wells and Lorna Fogil, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband William Randolph Leeper, her second husband, Herbert Wells; her son, Randolph William Leeper and his wife Nancy, her son, Carl I. Leeper, her son-in-law, Raymond Kozireski Sr. and her brother, Clarence Smith. A family statement reads: "She was a loving grandmother and mother and will always be known to her granddaughter as "The Princess."
