Brown of Artesia. Brown, 81, died on November 22. He was married to Ruth Brown, who preceded him in death in 1991. Brown served in the US Air Force, retiring in 1983. He was at the Bataan Death March during WWII and worked as a slave in the salt mines in Japan. He is survived by his sister, Oleta Howland, husband Vince, of Carlsbad, NM; and nephew Charles Earl Brown of Clyde, Texas.
