Anderson ROCHESTER - Lucille B. Anderson, 79, died on Friday, Jan. 12, 2001, at home, surrounded by her family, after a 25-year battle with cancer. Born on Dec. 24, 1921, in Lynn, Mass., she was the daughter of Arthur J. and Gladys (Chateauneuf) Bourque. She grew up in Lynn, attending St. Jean's School. She graduated from St. Anne's Academy in Marlboro, Mass., attended Emmanuel College and earned a bachelor of science degree in education from Spring Hill College in Spring Hill, Ala., in 1944. She later earned her masters of education degree from the University of New Hampshire in 1985. She was an English teacher at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Dover, teaching at the school for 24 years. After her retirement in 1994, she served on the St. Thomas Aquinas High School Advisory Board. In 1998, the St. Thomas Aquinas faculty established annual scholarships in her name. From the late 1980s to the mid-1990s, she was a scorer of advanced placement English exams in Princeton, N.J. She was active in St. Mary's parish in Rochester for 46 years. Survivors include her husband of almost 58 years, Jo Anderson; three sons, Jo Anderson Jr., of Chicago, William Anderson, of Meredith, and David Anderson, of Boston, Mass.; four daughters, Marcia Werner, of Wayland, Mass., Mary Beth Goldblatt, of Fort Montgomery, N.Y., Paula Glynn, of Dover, and Karen Anderson of Boston, Mass.; a brother, Arthur J. Bourque Jr., of Lynnfield, Mass., and his five children, Arthur III, Denis, Elizabeth, Anne and Barbara; two stepbrothers, Tom LeBlanc, of New Brunswick, Canada, and Francis LeBlanc, of Marion, Mass.; a stepsister, Charline Urista, of Houston, Texas; 11 grandchildren, Lorraine and Josh Anderson, of Chicago, Jennifer and Brad Anderson, of Meredith, Matthew and Amy Werner, of Wayland, Mass., Alison Goldblatt, of Fort Montgomery, N.Y., and James, Christopher, Meghan and Peter Glynn, of Dover; and several step- and great nieces and nephews. ANDERSON - Lucille B. Anderson, 79, of Rochester, died on Jan. 12, 2001. Calling hours will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 16, at Edgerley's Funeral Home, 86 S. Main St., Rochester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 17, at St. Mary's Church, 38 Charles St., in Rochester. Burial will be in the spring at St. Mary's Cemetery.
