Hunter Ferrell SURNAMES: LAMM, GIFFORD, LUCAS, EVANS Know all men by these pressents that I Stephen Lamm of the County of Wilson and State of North Carolina knowing that it is apointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form as follows First let all my just debts be paid. 2 let my land be sold and the mony Equilly divided Between all my children Except Elias their names as follows Nathan, Isaac, Solomon, Thomas, Jonas, Mary Lucus, Delfey Giford, and Salley Lamm 3 I give my daughter Mary Lucus fifty dollars 4 I give my Daughter Delfey Giford fifty dollars 5 I give my Daughter Salley Lamm fifty dollars 6 the rest of my property after paying the money above written to be equilly divided Between all my Children the money I give to my three daughters not to come out of my land this the 17th of December in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty nine I apoint my two sons Isaac and Solomon executors to this my Last will and testament signed sealed and declared in the pressents of us (signed) Stephen Lamm (seal) Test (signed) Hilbert Evans (signed) Joseph Evans January (?) AD 1861 Wilson County Court The written aforegoing paper writing purporting to be the last will & testament of Stephen Lamm Dec'd is Exhibited for probate in open court by Solomon Lamm one of the Executors therein named and the due Execution thereof by the said Stephen Lamm is proven by the oath and examination of Hilbert Evans & Joseph Evans the subscribing witnesses thereto. It is therefore considered by the court that the said paper writing is the last will & testament of said Stephen Lamm and the same is ordered to be recorded & filed, and therefore its said Solomon Lamm Executor as a foresaid duly qualified as such by taking the oath required by law.
