McDaniel to Joseph Fyffe, 70 Acres This indenture made this first day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety. Between Wm. McDaniel & Ann his wife of the County of Wilkes & State of North Carolina of the one part & Joseph Fyffe of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that for and inconsideration of the sum of one Hundred Pounds current money by the Sd Joseph Fyffe to the Sd Wm. McDaniel and Ann, his wife in hand paid the Receipt whereof is fully acknowledged. The said Wm. McDaniel & Ann, his wife hath granted, bargained and Sold and by these presents Give, grant, bargain & sell unto the said Joseph Fyffe his heirs and assigns a certain piece or Parcel of Land Lying and being in the County aforesaid. Beginning at a pine on the bank of Briar Creek Running South on the said McDaniels Line to a hickory in the Alexanders Line, thence with the said line East one hundred and twelve pole to a white oak sapling, thence North one hundred and Eighty Two poles to a Red Oak. Thence west to the Creek, thence up the meanders of Sd Creek to the beginning. Containing Seventy Acres be the same more or less to have and to hold the aforesaid Seventy Acres of Land with the appurtineness and all Rights privileges and improvements to the Same or at anywise belonging to him the said Joseph Fyffe. His heirs and assigns forever and doth hereby covenant & agree to & with the Sd. Wm. McDaniel & Ann his wife, that Sd Joseph Fyffe (illegible ------------) the Said Joseph Fyffe for himself his heirs and assigns shall and may forever hereafter peaceably and quietly have hold occupy possess and Enjoy the afore granted land and premises without the least molestation of any person whatsoever and free and Clear from all and all manner of Ecumberance whatsoever and the Said William McDaniel and Ann his wife doth oblige their heirs, Executors and administrators to warrant and forever defend the aforesaid lands and premises to him the said Joseph Fyffe his heirs and assigns for ever against the Claims of persons whatsoever, in Witness whereof the parties have hereunto set their hands & seals the day and year above written.
