Wayne County, NC - Bible Records File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by James Hooks Jacob Hooks Bible The "Bible" was given to my Father (Henry Mac Hooks) by his Sister (Mide Hooks Mercer) many years ago. It stayed rapped up in a plastic bag, inside a brown grocery bag and stuffed in the top of his closet. When I became interested in learning about my Family Heritage in 1989, I asked my Father, and he brought out the old Bible, not knowing what information was inside. We started learning together, ever so gently, turning page by page through the old Bible. I have built a box out of cedar to preserve and store the Bible for future generations. To reduce the handling of the brittle pages, I took photographs of the pages that had historical information on them. Of course I'm not a professional, so some of them didn't come out that great and I'll have to translate them. The following is my translations to the best of my knowledge, the pages of "Jacob Hooks Bible". __________________________________________________________________________ USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free information on the Internet, data may be used by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
