The Raleigh Standard: March 30, 1859
         THE LATE ROBERT A. EZELL
     It is always sad to record the death of a loved one; but when it is one 
who has lived for the good of his fellow creatures, and whose life adorned 
human nature it is inexpressibly lamentable. A kind and noble soul has passed 
away. ROBERT A. EZELL died on Jan. 31, 1859, after a lingering and painful 
illness.
     He had been a devoted teacher for 25 years. MR. EZELL was a native of 
Brunswick, Va., and received his prepatory education in Warrenton, N. C., 
where he afterwards taught. He graduated at William and Mary College, Va.
     He leaves a dependent family to mourn his loss.
