Wed, Nov. 29, 1826  North Carolina Journal
   DEPARTED THIS LIFE, on Saturday, the 18th inst., at his residence in Wake 
County, after an illness of 10 days, which he bore with the patience and 
submission which had ever characterized his well-spent life, MR. WILLIAM 
CAMERON, in the 38th year of his age, leaving a wife, seven small children and 
a numerous circle of friends and relatives to lament his premature departure. 
   Our feelings disqualify us for speaking of the deceased in the terms which 
he merited: he was our friend and our brother. And a truer friend -- a more 
affectionate brother -- a more dutiful son -- a more attentive husband -- a 
kinder parent -- an honester man or a more humble Christian than WILLIAM 
CAMERON never lived.
