Sampson County, NC – Petition Against Liquor, 1854

To the Honorable:  The General Assembly of the State of North Carolina

The undersigned most respectfully petition your Honorable body for the
passage of a law prohibiting the sale of intoxicating liquors, within five
miles of the Clinton Female Institute, being fully persuaded that the
interest of the Institute demand such a law.  And your petitioners will
ever pray &c.
