Book D:314   SMITH, Drury from PARROT, Abner   Deed  33 acres

This Indenture made this twenty second day of August in the year of our 
Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Ninety Six Between Abner PARROT of 
the County of Rockingham and State of North Carolina of the one part and 
Drury SMITH of the County & State aforesaid of the other part  Witnesseth 
that the said Abner PARROT for and in consideration of the Sum of Ten 
Pounds current money of the State aforesaid to him in hand pd by the said 
Drury SMITH, the receipt whereof the said Abner PARROT doth hereby 
acknowledge, hat bargained granted & sold and by these present doth grant 
bargain & sell unto the said Drury SMITH his Heirs and assigns one 
certain tract or parcel of land containing thirty three acres more or 
less, lying and being in the County & State aforesaid, and bounded as 
followeth  Begining at CHALLES's [?] Corner sugar tree & runing ____ 
fifty poles to a red oak on the said CHALLES's line, thence West One 
hundred & Six poles to WARDS Corner, thence South on MARRS line fifty 
poles to a black Oak, thence East one hundred and Six poles to the first 
Station. Together with all woods waters mines minerals hereditaments and 
appurtenances to the said land belonging or appertaining To have and to 
hold the said tract or parcel of land with all the appurtenances unto the 
said Drury SMITH his Heirs Executors or assigns forever and the said 
Abner PARROT for himself his Heirs and assigns doth warrant and forever 
Defend the said tract or parcel of land & every part thereof to the said 
Drury SMITH his heirs and assigns against him the said Abner PARROT his 
Heirs & assigns and all other Persons Whatsoever  In Witness whereof I 
hereunto Set my hand and afixed my seal this twenty second day of August 
one thousand Seven hundred and Ninety Six.
