Leathers all of the County of Haywood & State of Tennessee are held & firmly bound unto Harris of the County of Orange & State of North Carolina in the sum of one hundred and Seventy Nine Dollars & fifty Eight Cents ($179 58/100) to which payment we bind ourselves jointly & severly - The conditions of the above bond are such that if the above ? Elizabeth N Leathers, James P Laws & Charles D Leathers shall will & truly cause Delia Jane Leathers when she arrives at Lawful age to convey to the said Harris Wilkerson for the one fourth part of an undivided tract of land containing Two hundred & ten acres more or less adjoining the lands of Pumphrett Gooch Fielding Lewis & the said Harris Wilkerson & others better known as the Leathers Cross roads, which one fourth part is due her in the right of Legacy from her Father William Leathers Estate, then the above obligation is to be void otherwise to remain in full force & virtue her June the 6th AD 1836 Elizabeth X N Leathers (seal) mark witness James P Laws (seal) ?
