You will take notice that Bryant Basden, son of Hosey Basden deceased, 
has applied to this Court, for letter of Administration upon the estate 
of Hosey Basden deceased; And unless you come in Court and give bond, and 
qualify, as Administrator, of said decedent, Letters of Administration on 
the estate of said descendant will be granted to Bryant Basden, Witness 
my hand and official seal, this 21s, day of September, 1907.

credits of the said Hosea Basden and a true and perfect inventory thereof 
return according to law; and that all other duties appertaining to the 
charge reposed in me I will well and truly perform according to law with 
the best of my skill and ability: So help me, God.

Bryant Basden, being sworn, doth say:

That Hosea Basden, late of said County, is dead, without leaving any Will 
and Testament, and that Bryant Basden is the proper person entitled to 
Letters of Administration on the estate of the said Hosea Basden.  
Further, that the value of said estate, so far as can be ascertained at 
the date of this application is about $8,000, except a tract of land and 
that Bryant Basden, Celia Basden (this name is typed in and crossed off-
jh) Lizzie Jarman, Furny N. Basden, Hannah Horne, Dora Basden, Fields 
Basden, Callie Basden, Piram Basden, Esther Basden, Mary Basden, Eliza 
Basden, Lucy Basden and Spicey Basden – all of North Carolina, are 
entitled as heirs and distributes thereof
