Wilmington Gazette, Thurs.  March 12, 1801
   DIED, on Sunday last, at the seat of COL. SAMUEL ASHE on Rockey Point, MR. 
C. W. BEUDT, aged 18 years, a gentleman whose amiable manners render his death 
a subject of much regret with those who had the pleasure of his acquaintance. 
He was a native of Surinam, and, as we are informed, of one of the most 
respectable families of that place, where he has left a mother to lament the 
loss of an only son. On Tuesday his body was brought to town and deposited in 
Christ's Church-yard.
