Elliott found June 2000 Isaac Suggs deed to James Lucas registered Montgomery County, NC Jan. 17, 1854, that this deed was duly registered in this register office of the county in Book No. 17, page 259 James M. Lilly, Registrar This indenture made this the 28th day of July 1853. Between Isaac Suggs of the county of Montgomery state of N. Carolina of the one part and James Lucas of Montgomery County, state of N. Carolina, of the other part, witnesseth that the said Isaac Suggs hath bargained and sold a certain parcel or tract of land lying & being in the County of Montgomery containing one hundred acres, being in one survey beginning on the waters of Denson Creek beginning at a blackjack and three blackjack pointer and then runs south one hundred and sixty poles with Hogan’s line to a blackjack and three red oak pointers thence south seventy five west one hundred and ten poles with his line to a red oak three red oaks and pines pointers thence south twenty west sixty six poles with Suggs twenty five acres to a white oak two red oaks and two white oaks pointers, thence north eighty five east forty poles to a stake four white oaks pointers, thence north seventy one east ninety two poles to a stake two red oaks & two blackjacks pointers thence south sixty six east thirty four poles to a James Reynolds corner thence north sixty three east thirty four poles to a stake supposed to be in Isaac Smitherman line, thence north six west two hundred poles with his line to a state then north seventy four west forty poles to the beginning The same in & for consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to him the said Isaac Suggs in hand paid the receipt thereof is hereby acknowledged & by these presents and Isaac Suggs doth personally warrant defend the above mentioned land & waters mines, minerals, and all other appertainments whatever thereunto belonging to the said James Lucas his heirs, executors, administrators, & assigns forever against the just claim of any other person whatsoever in testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal signed over sealed & delivered in the presence of the day and date above mentioned written Isaac Suggs seal L.
