FRANK ADAMS

SPRUCE PINE - Frank Adams, 81, of Chestnut Mountain Road, died Monday, 
February 3, 2003 at his home. He was the son of the late Millard Newton 
and Delia Foard Adams. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, 
Jake Bunn; two sisters; and a brother. An Army veteran of WWII, he 
served in Pearl Harbor. He attended Clevinger College.
Survivors include his wife, Mabel Hollifield Adams; sons, John Mark 
and Lindsey Newton Adams, both of Spruce Pine, Melvin and Manuel Adams, 
both of Lenoir, and Bruce Adams of Asheboro; daughters, Lynette Daniels 
of Spruce Pine, and Vada Nelson of Lenoir; stepsons, Ronnie and David 
Cook, both of Spruce Pine; a brother, Jesse Adams of Lenoir; 11 
grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Grindstaff 
Memorial Chapel of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Revs. Chet Glenn, 
Randy Autrey and John Stafford officiated. Burial was in Fairview 
Cemetery on Seven Mile Ridge. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. 
Wednesday at the funeral home.
