LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of (Johann) John Michael Lingafeldt(Lengenfelder, 
Lingerfelt)  14 May 1827.
" In the Name of God , Amen.  I, John Lingafeldt, of the County of Lincoln and 
the State of North Carolina, Being of perfect mind and memory (Blessed be to 
God) do this 14th day of May in the year of our Lord 1827, make and publish my 
Last Will and Testament in manner following that is today.  
First, I give to my two dear daughters, Anna and Eliabeth, sixty dollars.
Second, I give and bequeath to my daughter Sally and her children five head of 
cattle which she now has in her possesion.  
Third, the remaining sum shall be divided in eight equal shares to my 
daughters, that is to say, I give 1/8 to Elizabeth, 1/8 to Barbara, 1/8 to 
Anna, 1/8 to Molly, 1/8 to Catherine, 1/8 to Fanny, 1/8 to Eva and 1/8 to 
Sally.
I make and ordain my beloved son Jacob Lingafeldt, Executor of this my Last 
Will and Testament, my hand and seal the day and year above written. "
Signed, sealed, published and delivered by the said John Lingafeldt in 
presence of us who were present at the time of signing and sealing thereof.

Additional Comments:
The name of record upon landing in Philadelphia in 1754 was LENGENFELDER. 
however it has become anglicized to Lingerfelt, Lingafelt, Lingerfeldt, etc.
Johann Micheal Lingenfelder purchased 300 acres on either side of Howards 
Creek , Lincoln Co., NC in 1786.
