STATE OF NORTH CAROLLINA COURT OF PLEAS & QUARTER SESSIONS  LINCOLN COUNTY
March Term, 1843

A. C. HOWARD
    VS.
JAMES HOWARD

Attachment levied on land.

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that JAMES HOWARD is not an 
inhabitant of this State. It is therefore ordered by the Court that 
publication be made for six successive weeks in the Charlotte Journal 
notifying JAMES HOWARD to be and appear at our next term of the Court of Pleas 
and Quarter Sessions to be held for the County of Lincoln at the Court House 
in Lincolnton on the first Monday in June next to plead, answer or demur to 
this petition filed, or judgment will be taken pro confesson and the matter 
heard ex parte as to him. Witness, H. CANSLER, Clerk of the said Court at 
office on the second Monday after the third Monday in February A.D. 1843.
