I James McCollum of the State of North Carolina being in a state of modrat helth sound in _____ of judgement calling to mind the mortality of the body I hereby constitute and disanull and revok and all wills and former testements made by me. I comit my soul to God who gave it. I comit by body to the erth to be decintly interd. ITEM. I bequeth to my son John McCollum my Negro man Henry. ITEM. I bequeth to my daughter Elisabeth Ervin my bay mair (gine) with all my property now under her cair. ITEM. I order that my Executors do sell part of my land by the acer at a reasonable price beginning at my first corner then east along my line to white oak thence North along my line to a white oak stump in the bough of a branch thence the same course to a stake then west by a hickory and a spanish oak growing together to fence _____ then South to the begining corner. ITEM. I also order that my land on Elk River be sold at a reasonable pris (Franklin County Tennessee) and my son Andrew H. to have the one half of the proceeds and my son John McCollum and my daughter Pamila Roseman the other half by reducting out of said half one hundred dollars to each of my of my son James McCollums two children. ITEM. I bequeth to my sons John and Andrew my wairing apparal _______ and furniture shair & shair alike. ITEM. I bequeth to my Daughter Rebeca Wats my riding horse Tom and _______ furniture and my kitchen furniture my Chest and chairs. ITEM. I bequeth to my son John the remainder of my land which I have not ordered to be sold. ITEM. About any accounts against me which cause of doubts that I have not ajusted I order that such be ______ by disposing or stoping as much of ____________________. ITEM. I order that the remainder of my property be sold at fair pris privitly or publickly with the _____ to ___ to my _______ (To wit) John McCollum, Andrew Harris McCollum, Rebeca Wats, Elisabeth Erwin, Mary McHilheney Fleming, Pamila Roseman shair and shair alike. ITEM. I order that my Executors make deeds of conveyance for all lands sold agreeable to my directions or aney land I may sell during my life agreble to my obligations in witness hereof I her set my hand and seal onto this fourth day of Novembir one thousand eighteen hundred and forty.
