pounds, 70 acres on waters of Rocky Creek, part of a grant to Robert Smith in 
1786 and descended to Agnes Smith, his relict in 1785 and conveyed to Dobson, 
then to Snow. Wit: Amos Sharpe, Samuel Sharpe. 4 Aug. 1813.

(Book H, pg. 157) 18 May 1813 James McIver to John Francis for $100, 96 1/2 
acres on waters of middle Rockey creek joining Campbell, Woodsides, and 
Culver, originally granted to James McIver, 1803. Wit: John Dobson, Robert 
Sumter. 3 Aug. 1813.

(Book H, pg. 159) 3 Feb. 1809 John Little, Jr. of Rowan Co., NC to John 
Francis for 150 pounds, 139 acres on waters of Rockey creek, part of a grant 
to John Little, Sr. 1786, joining John Dobson and Barnebas Edson. Wit: Thomas 
Francis, Amos Sharpe. 5 Aug. 1813.

 (Book J, pg. 208) 15 June 1813 John (x) Francis and Dedema (x) Francis to 
John McQuire for $200, 96 acres on middle fork of Rocky creek joining Hardin's 
old survey, part of 480 acres granted to John Archebald from the legatees of 
Robert Harden, deceased in 1786 and conveyed to John Griffith 1797, then to 
Wm. Kennedy in 1798 and to William Judkins in 1800. (When Judkins died 
intestate it was partitioned in 1806 and the above 96 acres was allotted to 
John Francis in right of his wife, a daughter and one of the heirs of William 
Judkins.) Wit: Ingram A. Gill, Thomas Francis.

mortgage on land on west side of Rockey creek on Trumpet branch waters of main 
Rockey creek, joining Shelly, Boyd, and James Welch to settle note to Martin
