THOS. & ALEX.D & TINAN MOORE to WILLIAM McKIMSEY

This indenture made this 26th day of September in the twenty first year of our 
Independence & in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred & Ninety 
Seven between THOMAS MOORE, ALEX.D MOORE, TINNAN MOORE, MARY MOORE Senr., 
SARRAH MOORE, MARY MOORE Junr., MARGRITE MOORE all of the county of Guilford & 
State of North Carolina as joint tenants and heirs of JOHN MOORE, Senr. Dec.d 
of the one part & WM. McKIMSEY of the county of Stokes of the other part 
Witnesseth that for & in consideration of the sum of one hundred & Twenty 
pounds current money of North Carolina to them the sd. THOS. MOORE, ALEXANDER 
MOORE, TINNAN MOORE, MARY MOORE Senr., SARRAH MOORE, MARY MOORE Junr., 
MARGARET MOORE by the sd. WM. McKIMSEY paid before the execution hereof the 
receipt whereof the said THOS. MOORE, ALEX.D MOORE, TENAN MOORE, MARY MOORE 
Senr., SARAH MOORE, MARY MOORE Junr., MARGARET MOORE doth hereby ack.d 
themselves & thereof Exonerate & acquite the sd. WM. McKIMSEY his heirs Extrs. 
Admrs. & they the sd. THOS. MOORE, ALEX.D MOORE, TENAN MOORE, MARY MOORE 
Senr., SALLEY MOORE, MARY MOORE Junr, MARGARITE MOORE by these presents Doth 
grant bargain sell assign enfoeff released confirmed & sete over unto the sd. 
WM. McKIMSEY his heirs and assigns for ever one certain piece or parcel of 
land situate lying & being in the county of Guilford Being on the east fork of 
Belue's Creek & Harvey's Branch it being the plantation that the said JOHN 
MOORE Dec.d lived on & bounded as to wit
Beginning on Harvey's Branch in the sd. MOOREs line at a Black oak a corner 
thence South along his dividing line made by both parties & agreed upon to 
JAMES KNOTTs line to a stake thence west along his lin to his corner white oak 
in PHILIP JEANEs line near his corner on HENRY COOKs line thence north along 
sd. COOKs line to sd. MOOREs corner Black oak thence east along JOHN COOKs & 
MOOREs line to a corner white oak thence the same corner to the beginning 
containing one hundred & fifty acres be the same more or less together with 
the improvements thereon reversions rents issues  & profits and also all the 
rights title interest property claim & demand

whatsoever of in and fo the said tracts or piece or parcle of land & premises 
and every part & parcel thereof with the appurtenances thereto belonging or 
appertaining to have and to hold unto WM. McKIMSEY his heirs & assigns for 
ever to his & their proper benefit & behoof for ever & the sd. THOS. MOORE, 
ALEX.D MOORE, TINAN MOORE, MARY MOORE, Senr., SARAH MOORE, MARY MOORE Junr., 
MARGARET MOORE Doth hereby covenant that they will for themselves their heirs 
& every of them doth Warrant & for ever Defend the above bargained premises 
unto the sd. WM. McKIMSEY his heirs & assigns for ever against them the sd. 
THOS. MOORE, ALEX.D MOORE, TENAN MOORE, MARY MOORE Senr., SARAH MOORE, MARY 
MOORE Junr., MARGARET MOORE & their heirs & all & every other person or 
persons by from or under them or any of them In Witness whereof the sd. THOS. 
MOORE, ALEX.D MOORE, TENAN MOORE, MARY MOORE, Senr., SARAH MOORE, MARY MOORE, 
Junr., MARGARET MOORE hath hereunto set their hands & affixed their seals this 
day & year first above written
