Granville County, NC - Indenture - Kendrick to Kendrick, 1762 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Granville County Deed Book E, page 86 Kendrick This Indenture made the Eighth day of February in the second year to of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord the third by the Grace of God Kendrick of Great Britain France and Ireland King & defender of the faith Examd &c and in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred & Sixty two Between James Kendrick of Granville County in the province of North Carolina of the one part and William Kendrick of the County and province aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the sd James Kendrick for and in consideration of the sum of thirty pounds Current money of Virginia to him in hand paid or secur’d to be paid at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof the said James Kendrick doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained and Sold alien’d enfeoffed Released and Confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell alien enfeoff Release and Confirm unto the said William Kendrick his heirs and assigns forever the plantation whereon he the said James Kendrick now lives together with all the land lying between the Folly branch and the next branch below. Containing one hundred acres be the same More or less and also the Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents and Services thereof and also all the Estate Right Title property interest Claim and demand whatsoever of him the said James Kendrick of in and to the said. land and premises and of in and to every part and parcel thereof to have and to hold the said parcel of land and premises with the appurtenances unto the said William Kendrick his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of the him the said William Kendrick his heirs and assigns forever and the said James Kendrick doth Covenant and grant to and with the said William Kendrick that he the said James Kendrick the said dividend or parcel of land and premises against him and his heirs and against all and every other person and persons will forever warrant and forever defend by these presents unto the said William Kendrick his heirs and assigns forever In Witness whereof the said James Kendrick hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above Written.
