Gates County, NC - Wills - Amecia Langston - 1902 North Carolina} Gates County} I Amecia Langston of the aforesaid county and state, beining of sound mind but considering the uncertainty of my earthly existince do make and declare this my last will and testament First. My executor hereinafter named shall give my body a decent burial suitable to the wishes of my friends and relatives and pay all funeral expenses together with all my just debts, out of the first moneys which may come into his hands belinging to my estate. Should there be no money or other assets to come into the hands of my executor at my death then and in that event I hereby authorize and impower my executor to sell my timber or land and timber or hereinafter devised to my grand daughter Edith A. Freeman to sell one or both at his discretion and convey the same by deed in fee simple to the purchaser in case should my executor sell the lands and timber hereinafter divised to my grand daughter Edith A. Freeman after paying my bureal expenses and just debts he shall pay over any and all the surplus to my grand daughter Edith A. Freeman. Second. I give and devise to my grand son Edward E. Everett and my beloved grand daughter Lizzie C. Parker wife of Joseph A. Parker my water mill and all fixtures thereunto belonging it being the same that I bought of George L. Parker. Third. I give and devise to my grand daughter Edith A. Freeman all of my lands and tenements of every description. Fourth. I give and bequeath to my beloved sons Thomas H. Langston, William D. Langston and my son in law Edward J. Freeman the notes I now hold against them. Fifth. I give and bequeath to my beloved grand daughter Lizzie C. Parker one parlor organ after the death of my beloved daughter, Lizzie E. Brady. Sixth. I hereby constitute and appoint my trusty friend E. J. Freeman my lawful executor to all intents and purposes to execute this my last will and testament according to the true intent and meaning of the same and every part and clause thereof hereby revoking all other wills and testaments by me heretofore made.
