These are to Certify that August McDuffie came before me and took the oath of 
allegiance and acknowledged Himself Duly Enlisted in the Company of Cumberland 
County Commanded by Capt. Fergd. Campbell and that he has recd. Forty 
Shillings procl. in full which is the Bounty Allowed on that service.

This 13th of May, 1771.
