Abt 1774 Craven Co., NC, d. 1799 Craven Co., NC: Will of Silvester Tingle: "August 18th 1842 I SILVESTER TINGLE of the County of Craven and State of North Carolina do make and ordain This my last Will and testament and first I direct that my body be deasantly Enterd and As it respects my Natural afairs I leave and despose of as fowloes --- It 1 --- I leave my Negro woman Gilly and her child and my house and plantation and my half of a boat to be Sold to pay my honest debts It 2 and all the balance of my property after my Just debts is paid I give and bequeath to my Beloved Wife SARAH during her Natural life. It 3 I leave and recomend my worthy friend Noah Miller Exector to this my last will and testament in witness thereof I have hereunto Let my hand and Seal in the preseance of Zachary Squires Daniel (his brothers SILVESTER TINGLE (seal) mark) Craven County Court November Term 1842 The foregoing last will of SILVESTER TINGLE decd. is proved in open Court and in due form of law by the oath of Zacheas Squires one of the subscribing witneses thereto.
