This indenture made this seventh day of March in the year of our Lord Christ 
eighteen hundred and seventeen between Daniel S. FARLEY and William W. PRICE, 
both of the County of Caswell and State of North Carolina.  Witnesseth that the 
said FARLEY have this day bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant 
bargain and sell (illegible) and confirm unto the said PRICE and to his heirs 
and assigns forever one certain massauge tract or piece of land situate lying 
and being in our said County and State aforesaid on Fish Pond Creek of Dann 
River and bounded as follows, to wit, Beginning at an Ash corner of said PRICE 
near the bank of said Creek and running North with the line of Gregory DURRAM 
deceased forty five chains to a Spanish Oak in John BALDWIN’s line then West a 
new line twenty nine chains and sixty seven links to a Black Jack thence South 
a new line forty five chains to a stake & pointers in the line of Martin DURRAM 
then East with said DURRAM & (?PRICE?) to the beginning containing one hundred 
and thirty nine acres by survey be the same more or less together with all and 
singular the appurtances pertaining thereunto belonging or in any way 
appertaining and the said FARLEY doth for himself, his heirs assigns warrant 
forever defend the right and title of said land and premises upon the said 
PRICE’s paying four dollars and a half per acre.  In witness whereof the said 
FARLEY has hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first 
above written.  Signed and sealed in presence of:

There is a third signature that is mostly obscured by an ink blot.  All I can 
make out is Wm. F…..


Know all men by these presents that I Archibald SAMUEL Senr. Of Caswell County 
and State of North Carolina has this day relinquished all right, title and 
Interest which I have in a certain tract of land mentioned in the foregoing 
deed to William W. PRICE for value received this seventh day of March 1817.  
Witness my hand and seal the day and date above written.

Know all men by these presents that we Mary Ann ARNETT & Polly CARVER formerly 
Polly ARNETT & Hezekiah P. SMITHSON all of the County of Pittsylvania & State 
of Virginia have this day relinquished all right title interest & claim to the 
certain tract of land mentioned in the foregoing deed to William W. PRICE for 
value received this 14th day of March 1817.  In witness whereof we have 
hereunto set our hands and seals the day and date above written.
