W. KINLAW AND WIFE TO T. J. RAYFIELD AND WIFE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA BLADEN COUNTY. THIS DEED Made this 21st day of July, 1906 by A. W. Kinlaw and wife Rena Kinlaw of Bladen County and said State North Carolina of the first part, to T. J. Rayfield of Vance County and State of North Carolina of the second part, WITNESSETH: That the said A. W. Kinlaw and Rena Kinlaw, in consideration of one huncred dollars, to them paid by T. J. Rayfield, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have bargained and sold, and by these presents do bargain, sell and convey to said T. J. Rayfield, and his heirs and assigns, a certain tract or parcel of land in White Oak Township, Bladen County, State of North Carolina, adjoining the lands of W. R. McBride, M. N. Tatum, W. J. Davis, J. A. Burney, T. J. Rayfield, & others, bounded as follows, viz: Beginning at a stake W. R. McBride's line (it being T. J. Rayfield E. corner, a lot that he now owns,) and runs as McBride's line So. 85 deg. E. 3 ch 85 lks to a stake in M. N. Tatum's line, thence as his line No. 10 deg. E. 2 ch 70 lks to a stake, then No. 85 deg. W. 3 ch 85 lks to a stake in W. J. Davis' line, then So. 10 deg. W. to the beginning, containing one acre, more or less. It is agreed that if said Rayfield should at anytime want to sell said land, he is to give the Kinlaw heirs the chance to buy the same. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the aforesaid tract or parcel of land, and all privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging to the said T. J. Rayfield, his heirs and assigns, to their only use and behoof forever. And the said A. W. Kinlaw covenant to and with the said T. J. Rayfield and wife Minnie, their heirs and assigns, to their only use and behoof forever. And the said A. W. Kinlaw & wife Rena covenant to and with the said T. J. Rayfield and his heirs and assigns, that they are seized of said premises in fee, and have a right to convey the same in fee simple; that the same are free from all incumbrances, and that they will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whatsoever IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, the said A. Bullard, do hereby certify that A. W. Kinlaw and Rena Kinlaw, his wife, personally appeared before me this day and acknowledged the due execution of the annexed deed of conveyance, and the said Rena Kinlaw, being by me privately examined, separate and apart from her said husband, touching her voluntary execution of the same, doth state that she signed the same freely and voluntarily, without fear or compulsion of her said husband, or any other person, and that she doth still voluntarily assent thereto.
